Photos showing Hollywood superstar and former professional wrestler Dwayne Johnson dressed as a Hindu priest and performing arti, a Hindu ritual of worship, have gone viral on social media.
Various unverified accounts on the micro-blogging website Twitter shared the images claiming that Johnson, also known as The Rock, had converted to Hinduism.
One Twitter user, Shubham Bhavatu, shared one of the images accompanied by a caption that read: “Famous heavyweight wrestler and Hollywood actor, Mr. Dwayne Johnson, popularly known as “The Rock” performing Aarti Hindu traditions.”

Another user, Gopal Goswami, shared one of the images with a caption falsely stating that Johnson was participating in Hindu traditions.
However, he later clarified in a subsequent tweet that the photos were generated using artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

Yes, you read that absolutely right! The viral images were produced through a generative AI tool called Midjourney.
The images were originally posted by an Indian visual artist named Bhargav Valera who told AFP he created them using the AI tool Midjourney. His Twitter bio says he is a filmmaker, photographer, and artist.
“Those pictures are made by me on the Midjourney AI tool,” Valera told AFP.
