After Uri: The Surgical Strike, director Aditya Dhar and actor Vicky Kaushal were all set to team up again for a movie titled The Immortal Ashwatthama. Earlier, this year, the first look posters of the film were also unveiled.

However, a few weeks ago, there were reports that the movie has been put on a backburner. Recently, while talking to PTI, Kaushal opened up about the film getting delayed.

He said, “There will be a better time to make that film. More than disheartening, it is that thing that any film should be made at the best time for that film. Every time the film is bigger than me or any individual attached to the film. So, we have to choose a time that justifies making that film. So, we are waiting for that time to come.”

Well, in July this year, Dhar and Kaushal had even started preparations for the movie. The latter had posted on Instagram, “When the Director’s really serious about ‘casting’ you in the Film. Prepping to be The Immortal! @adityadharfilms #TheImmortalAshwatthama.”

Reportedly, Sara Ali Khan was supposed to play the female lead in the movie.
