Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, one of the most popular sitcoms on Indian television, has entered the Guinness Book of World Records.

Yes, the latest edition of the Guinness Book of World Records is out, and out of 2638 records from across the globe, 60 are registered from India.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, which airs on Sony SAB, has become the longest-running show on TV.

The show hit the airwaves on July 28, 2008, and is running successfully for over 15 years now.

The show has previously registered itself in the Limca Book Of World Records for the same.

For some time, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah had been in the news for all the wrong reasons. The show hit headlines for controversial exits for its actors like Disha Vakani, Shailesh Lodha, Neha Mehta, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, and Monika Bhadoriya, among others.

Earlier, the show producer was under attack when Jennifer accused them of sexual harassment.
