M Night Shyamalan’s Split, which premiered in 2016, is now available to stream on Netflix.

The psychological thriller stars James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb, a man struggling with dissociative identity disorder (DID) who kidnaps and imprisons three girls in a secret underground facility.

The film premiered at Fantastic Fest on September 26, 2016, and was released in the United States on January 20, 2017, by Universal Pictures.

Split is a sequel to Shyamalan’s 2000 film Unbreakable, which has become a bit of a cult classic over the years. The film is now performing exceedingly well on Netflix alongside its significantly less successful sequel, Glass.

Meanwhile, Shyamalan is presently busy filming his next Trap.
