Mumbai Police have launched a nationwide manhunt after a suspected associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly demanded $2.4 million from Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. The accused reportedly warned of serious consequences if the ransom was not paid.

Authorities have issued a Lookout Circular (LOC) against Harichandra alias Harry Boxer, who is described as an associate of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The LOC enables law enforcement agencies across the country to detain the suspect if he attempts to travel or is located within Indian jurisdiction.

According to officials, the threat was communicated to Singh’s manager, Vijay Subramanian. He allegedly received a voice note from a man identifying himself as Harry Boxer. In the message, the caller demanded $2.4 million and warned of severe repercussions if the payment was not made.

Police said the message included the statement that “the next seven generations” would remember the consequences if the demands were ignored.

Ranveer Singh Threat Case: International Calls Under Investigation

Investigators revealed that Singh’s manager also received calls from an international number beginning with +340. Authorities believe the number is linked to the U.S. Virgin Islands. Officials suspect that the calls were placed from outside India.

The origin of the calls is being examined as part of the ongoing cyber investigation. Mumbai Cyber Police have registered a case based on the complaint filed by Subramanian. The Crime Branch’s Anti-Extortion Cell has joined the investigation to trace the accused and prevent further threats.

In the voice note, the caller allegedly referred to both Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Rohit Shetty, telling them to “get in line.” The accused also reportedly claimed responsibility, along with associates, for firing incidents in Portugal and at Marina Grand and Sukhdev’s shop. Police officials stated that these claims are currently being verified.

Ranveer Singh Threat Case: FIR Registered After Voice Match Confirmation

After the audio message was received, Mumbai Police shared it with Punjab and Haryana Police. Officials there reportedly confirmed that the voice allegedly matches that of Harry Boxer. Following this development, a First Information Report (FIR) was formally registered.

Authorities have intensified efforts to track the suspect’s movements. Coordination between multiple state police departments is underway to determine the location of the accused and take him into custody.

Security measures have also been strengthened at Ranveer Singh’s Mumbai residence. Police have advised the actor to exercise caution while traveling for film shoots and public appearances.

Ranveer Singh Threat Case Linked to Recent Bishnoi Gang Activity

This development marks the second FIR connected to alleged Bishnoi gang activity in a related context this month. On February 1, a shooting incident was reported outside Rohit Shetty’s residence in Juhu.

Police have arrested 12 individuals in connection with that case. Among those arrested is alleged shooter Deepak Sharma. Investigators claim he opened fire at Shetty’s home on instructions from the Shubham Lonkar group.

Officials have not confirmed whether the two cases are directly linked, but both incidents are being examined within the broader context of alleged gang activity.
