Hollywood director Quentin Tarantino has confirmed his first-ever play will premiere in London’s West End. The filmmaker revealed that the script is complete and that rehearsals will begin in January 2026, with a potential premiere scheduled for 2027. Known for films such as Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Tarantino said this stage production could also influence how he concludes his film career.
The 62-year-old director made the announcement during an interview on The Church of Tarantino podcast, where he spoke in detail about the play, his relocation plans, and his outlook on future projects.
Quentin Tarantino on His West End Play
Quentin Tarantino confirmed that the play is “all written” and will be his next major project. He explained that rehearsals and early production will begin in January 2026, with the expectation that the show could open to audiences in 2027.
“It’ll probably be a year before it’s in front of an audience,” Tarantino said. “If it’s a flop, then I will be done very quickly.”
The filmmaker also stated that the play has the potential to shape the direction of his career. If successful, he suggested it may be adapted into a feature film, which could become his tenth and final movie.
