Imagine Learning, the largest provider of digital-first K–12 learning solutions in the United States, has appointed Indian-origin technology leader Anjeneya Dubey as its new Chief Technology Officer. The appointment takes effect immediately and underscores the company’s focus on strengthening its technology foundations while maintaining alignment with classroom instruction and curriculum standards.

The move comes as education technology providers place increased emphasis on responsible artificial intelligence, scalable cloud infrastructure, and data-driven platforms that educators can trust. With Anjeneya Dubey taking on the CTO role, Imagine Learning aims to further integrate technology with instructional goals while continuing to serve millions of students across the country.

Anjeneya Dubey takes over technology leadership at Imagine Learning

In his role as Chief Technology Officer, Anjeneya Dubey will be responsible for setting and executing Imagine Learning’s overall technology strategy. His remit includes oversight of software engineering, cloud platforms, artificial intelligence initiatives, and day-to-day technology operations. A central priority will be advancing the company’s Curriculum-Informed AI™ strategy, which is designed to ensure that AI tools support established learning objectives rather than operate independently of curriculum standards.

Imagine Learning’s leadership has emphasized that technology must enhance teaching rather than complicate it. The company views curriculum-informed AI as a way to deliver insights, personalization, and efficiency while preserving educator confidence and instructional integrity.

“As we shape the future of learning technology, we need leaders who understand both large-scale systems and real classroom needs,” said Leslie Curtis, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Imagine Learning. “Anjeneya has a strong background in building dependable platforms and using data and AI in meaningful ways. He is the right leader to help us grow.”

Anjeneya Dubey’s experience across cloud, AI, and global platforms

Anjeneya Dubey brings more than two decades of experience in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and artificial intelligence. Before joining Imagine Learning, he served as Global Head of Platform Engineering at Honeywell. In that role, he led large, distributed engineering teams and built secure, reliable systems used across global operations.

Earlier in his career, Anjeneya Dubey worked on digital education platforms serving both K–12 schools and higher education institutions. This background gives him direct exposure to the challenges faced by educators and administrators when implementing technology in learning environments.

Throughout his career, Dubey has built and scaled platforms used by millions of users. He has managed complex cloud environments spanning major providers including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. He has also led teams of more than 400 engineers across multiple regions and holds several patents related to cloud system architecture and design.

Curriculum-Informed AI under Anjeneya Dubey’s leadership

A core focus for Anjeneya Dubey at Imagine Learning will be the continued development of Curriculum-Informed AI™. This approach prioritizes alignment with learning standards, instructional models, and classroom realities. Rather than deploying AI as a standalone solution, Imagine Learning integrates it directly into curriculum frameworks that educators already use.

“I’m excited to join Imagine Learning at an important time,” Dubey said. “This is an opportunity to use AI in a responsible way that truly supports learning. Our focus will be on helping teachers, personalizing learning for students, and making technology more useful—not just more automated.”

Under Dubey’s leadership, the company plans to improve how curriculum data moves through its platforms. This includes delivering clearer insights to teachers, faster access to actionable information, and tools that support instructional decision-making without adding complexity.

Scaling platforms for more than 18 million students

Imagine Learning currently supports more than 18 million students nationwide, with digital-first solutions used in schools across more than half of US districts. As usage continues to grow, Anjeneya Dubey will also focus on system reliability, performance, and scalability.

Strengthening cloud infrastructure will be critical to ensuring consistent access for students and educators. Dubey’s background in managing large-scale cloud environments positions him to address these demands while maintaining data security and compliance.

His appointment reflects a broader trend in the education sector, where companies are increasingly recruiting leaders from cloud and AI-driven industries to modernize platforms while maintaining educational rigor.

Anjeneya Dubey and Imagine Learning’s long-term vision

With Anjeneya Dubey as CTO, Imagine Learning is reinforcing its commitment to combining instructional quality with modern technology. The company continues to work closely with educators to develop tools that support student outcomes and classroom effectiveness.

By aligning AI development with curriculum standards and educator needs, Imagine Learning aims to differentiate itself in a crowded education technology market. Dubey’s experience across cloud platforms, large engineering teams, and education-focused systems is expected to play a key role in executing that strategy.

As schools across the United States continue to adopt digital learning tools, Imagine Learning’s leadership believes that trusted technology and clear instructional alignment will remain essential. The appointment of Anjeneya Dubey signals a long-term investment in building platforms that are scalable, reliable, and designed with educators and students at the center.
