On 17th august Ficci Flo Ahmedabad had organized a talk at Ahmedabad Management Association with the renowned personalities from various fields. In this event Mr. A. K Singh- Commissioner of Police, Ahmedabad,  Manisha Lav Kumar- Government pledger and Senior Advocate, Gujarat high court, Veena Gupta- Chairperson, Women Safety, FSAI, Jolly Shah- Emergency Specialist, United nations had joined as panelists. This event is moderated by Rupam Jain- Bureau Chief, Afghanistan, Reuters. The panelists had discussed about the gender Issues and women safety with different perspectives. Ficci Flo chairperson Babita jain had welcome and felicitate all the panelists. 

Mr. Anup Kumar Singh- Commissioner of Police, Ahmedabad talked on women work place safety, contribution of women in society and also the initiatives taken by Ahmedabad police force on women safety issues. he told that initiative called SHE team has taken by Ahmedabad police where women police officers 24*7 stand for women to help them with their daily issues related with safety at all possible places in the city. SHE stands for safety, health and equality. “Ahmedabad is become the one the 11 cities Which get funding unvder Nirbhaya project by Government for implementation of more schemes related to women safety”,  he added. 

High court senior advocate Manisha lav kumar Shares her views with the perspective of law and legislature where she said that Constitution of India is provides the right of equality, justice and this is for men and women both. Panelists had talked about the solutions and implementation of safety schemes like 181 help line number, online tracking, 40 women police stations etc. In this event there are also two senior women police officers were present who are working in SHE team also. Assistant Commissioner of police Divya and Mini Joseph shared their experience being women police officers. “Society needs to change its mindsets on equality and feminism.” they added.
