GULSHAN Grover won the Best International Actor award for his performance in Desperate Endeavors.
Grover was honoured at the New York City Film festival on Monday (August 22) for his role as Indian holy man Dada Bhagwan.
Roberto Rizzo, founder of New York City Film Festival, said, ‘Gulshan Grover’s performance is just so compelling and sincere.
‘We will be screening this film at Times Square for all the tourists and public.’
Desperate Endeavors is directed by Sam Khassa. It revolves around New York immigrant Ram Patel, who encounters a spiritual adviser in Bhagwan. The film was shown to Hollywood celebrities, movie makers and critics in Manhattan.
Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee, who was also in New York, congratulated Grover for winning the award.
