A LEADING Indian fashion label was forced to withdraw clothes featuring images of a Hindu deity from its website following strong protests.
The clothes, made by internationally acclaimed designer Manish Arora, featured the image of Lord Shiva on leggings, harem-pants and skirts, and were on sale on the designer’s online boutique.
Arora has dressed celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Kate Moss, Katy Perry and British artist M.I.A..
