Watford Hindu Group Gujarati School brought the 2016 Diwali festivities to a close on November 5 with a memorable Kids Diwali at Watford Boys Grammar school.
The show featured diverse performances from across the community and showcased the very best of Watford and the Gujarati schools' talent.
Opening with beautiful prayers and launched by dhol, children from the pre-GCSE classes performed to the Hu Tari Bolavu Jai devotional song. The children were ably supported by wonderful Bollywood and Arabhi Jatiswaram dance performances from the school's special guests as well as a short bhavai.
The packed agenda included a solo performance of the hit Samjhavan and was closed with the GCSE students' excellent Selfie inspired garba.
Baroness Dorothy Thornhill MBE (Mayor of Watford) presented trophies to last year's successful GCSE students and Clare Wagner (Head of Watford Girls Grammar) spoke with passion of her experiences in India and insight into Diwali.
