I was asked to do this show. But, I couldn`t be part of it as I was out of the country. I have no issues with Sonakshi. In fact she mentioned to me that it was her first stage performance and I wished her all the best."
Past few months have seen this song become a rage all over the country and Malaika has almost been rechristened Munni! Now with the `Khan`daan set to make Dabangg 2, is she ready for a Munni 2 as well? "It`s premature to say anything. Right now we are still enjoying the success of the film and the song. We haven`t thought of a new song and who will do it for our next film. Whenever we plan something if I feel convinced about it, I will do it."
Malaika, in her career, has done a number of item numbers with quite a few becoming very popular, but Munni… will always be very special because it`s part of their home production, for which she donned the producer`s hat for the first time. But did she and hubby Arbaaz have any difference of opinion during the making of the film? "Not really. He values my opinion and we are quite in sync," she says.
With her sexy looks and graceful dancing, Malaika has managed to make a place for herself in the industry, but doesn`t she miss doing meatier roles? "I`ve never really given that a thought. I`m very busy doing television and I enjoy it. But I always maintain that if there`s something interesting that comes my way, I`ll definitely do it," she signs off.
