BRITISH supermodel Naomi Campbell arrived in Jodhpur in the state of Rajasthan on Sunday (November 4) with her Russian billionaire boyfriend Vladimir Doronin. Doronin will be celebrating his 50th birthday in Jodhpur on November 7.
The couple, who have been dating since 2008, has chosen the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort for the pre-birthday bash on November 6. There are around 200 celebrities from Hollywood and the modelling industry on the guest list.
The bash will reportedly take place at two venues of the fort – Daulat Khana and Zenana Courtyard.
“The dinner will take place at Daulat Khana and a musical performance will take place in Zenana Courtyard,” a source said.
The 42-year-old catwalk queen and Doronin will be stay at the Umaid Bhawan Palace. They plan to make this four-day celebration a memorable event.
The entire fort has been decorated in the Indian and predominantly Rajasthani theme of vibrant colours. A team of British professionals has been roped in by the organisers for the decoration of the fort.
The couple will enter the fort in a royal procession, which will have Rajasthani folk artists performing throughout the walk.
“The couple has reportedly forked out about $500000 for the musical performance by Diana Ross. The guest list is said to include the band Black Eyed Peas, Grace Jones, Donatella Versace, Kate Moss, Giorgio Armani and Jennifer Lopez,” the source added.
The birthday celebration on November 7 will take place at the lavish Umaid Bhawan Palace. The place has hosted a number of celebrity weddings including that of Liz Hurley and Arun Nair and Rishika Lulla’s sangeet ceremony.
