REIGNING Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif will feature opposite top star Aamir Khan Dhoom 3, the third installment of Yash Raj Films hit franchise.
Director Vijay Krishna Acharya said Katrina, in her first film with Aamir, was the obvious choice.
Producer Aditya Chopra and Acharya set out to cast a newcomer in the film, but after a long search decided to go with Katrina. She starred in their recent film, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.
‘She is someone who we know will bring tremendous enthusiasm and commitment to the film. The first time pairing of Aamir with Katrina will also certainly add value,’ Acharya said.
Aamir will be cast in a negative role in the film, while actors Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will reprise their roles as policeman Jai and his accomplice Ali.
Shooting is set to start at the end of the year and the film is slated for a 2012 Christmas release.
