THE FIRST ever business conference by a national Gujarati organisation was deemed a huge success last night.
Over 300 business attended the event which looks to sets a new chapter for Gujarati organisations around the UK.
A number of top organisations contributed to the seminar with executives from News International, Smith News, Philip Morris, Punjab National Bank, BTC Group, attending. The event was organised by the National Congress of Gujarati Organisations (NCGO).
They came to share their advice with retailers all around the UK.
NCGO covenor Mahendra Jadeja said: “I think for our first time the event was an overall success. It's probably one of the best events I've organised, and the turnout was pretty good as well.”
Lord Mayor of Brent Aslam Chaudhry officially opened the ceremony and met stall holders, who represented many businesses.
MP for Brent North Barry Gardiner was among the guests.
He said: “I think its absolutely excellent having an event like this. Businesses taking to businesses – this is what gets the economy going.”
