Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus stars Ranveer Singh, Varun Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde in the lead role. The shooting of the film is currently going on and now, according to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Deepika Padukone has joined the cast of the film.
The actress will be seen in a massy dance number in the movie, and will also have a couple of scenes. A source told the portal, “Cirkus has just got bigger with the presence of Deepika Padukone. She has a special dance number in the film alongside some conversational scenes. Her sequences are sure to bring the house down with laughter.”
Reportedly, Deepika shot for the film on last weekend. Well, if this report turns out to be true it will surely be interesting watch Ranveer and Deepika on the big screen together. The two have earlier featured in movies like Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat (they had no scenes together).
Ranveer and Deepika will also be seen together in Kabir Khan’s 83 in which they will be portraying the roles of real-life couple Kapil Dev and Romi Dev.
Talking about Cirkus, the movie is based on William Shakespeare’s play The Comedy of Errors. The 1982 release Angoor was also inspired by the play. It is said that the makers of Cirkus are planning to wrap up the shoot by March and the movie might release in December this year.
