BOLLYWOOD superstar Amitabh Bachchan is highly impressed by Ranbir Kapoor’s performance in the film Barfi, directed by Anurag Basu.
Bachchan called the young actor’s performance ‘masterful and brilliant’ on a social networking site. “All strain of work vanished after having just finished seeing Barfi!. Ranbir Kapoor… a masterful brilliant performance… Priyanka, simply unbelievable, and Anurag Basu’s extraordinary making,” Bachchan tweeted.
Bachchan also praised Ileana D'Cruz and Priyanka Chopra for their performances.
“In Barfi!, the lovely Ileana d’Cruz in her debut for Hindi film… such a mature and balanced performance… many congratulations,” added Big B.
The 69-year-old actor was also excited about the transformation in Indian cinema.
“Indian cinema, its films, directors, actors, technicians going through a magical phase of a change over… such exciting times!!”
Barfi! has won rave reviews from the audience as well as critics. Ranbir plays a deaf and mute character while Priyanka is seen playing an autistic girl in the film. Director Anurag Basu is confident that the film can break the language barrier and is now mulling an English version.
