Inspired by the style of New York streets, designer Masaba Gupta's ensemble gave Athiya Shetty a perfect chic look as the actress sashayed down the ramp at the Amazon India Fashion Week.

The 23-year-old star, who turned showstopper for the ace designer, donned white flared pants with golden prints on it and a black crop top paired with a cape.
"It definitely depicts a confident and comfortable girl. I love Masaba's clothes. They have a lot of personality and I have always been a fan of her collection," Athiya said.
"This is the first time I'm officially wearing Masaba. So, it's really special and she described it perfectly. You can see in her each garment they have their own story to tell," she said.
The actress looked bold in an exclusive makeup done by Elton Fernandez.
"Athiya's skin is very healthy, clean and smooth. I have not done too much work with her skin. She is naturally beautiful. We highlighted the contour. With eyes, I have done graphic edgy liner," Elton said.
The show presented by Maybelline, began with an overview of New York streets. Masaba used a unique concept, in which she introduced crowd with the streets' diverse culture in a 3D video.
Masaba's collection saw a wide use of black and white, which brought alive the energy of '80s and '90s of New York and icing on the cake was tunes of live Jazz music in the show.
She also used bright shades of pink, green, red and mustard.
Cape shirts, overlapped dress, shirt dress, tunics, gowns, crop tops and pants were the highlight for the show.
Few sarees were also featured in the collection.
Known for giving international touch to her costumes Masaba, the daughter of actress Neena Gupta, said, "I wanted to do something that woman, who travel can wear them. My collection is about a woman, who is well travelled. No matter in which part of the world she is, she can always wear them."
The 27-year-old designer brought in the use of caricatures inspired by progressive Indian wear and Mithila paintings from Bihar.
Shedding more light on the collection Masaba said, "It is about upbeat boss woman that is so synonymous with New York. I did a big range this time. I also used caricature print, which is inspired by Mithila paintings from Bihar. There is also an abstract Ganesha print, blob of print, pillars etc."
Masaba also gave a tribute to Padma Shri awardee designer Wendell Rodricks in her show as one of her models donning the garment had Rodricks caricature.
"I just wanted to pay a tribute to him because he has been so influential in my life," she said.
