The greatest heavyweights of all time sure made the boxing sport interesting over the years and even now the history of these men is still fascinating. Each time these great met fought, stadiums would be packed all over the world.

Topping the List of the Greatest Heavyweights of All Time is Muhammad Ali

Nicknamed “The Greatest” he was born in 1964 and named Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. He eventually adopted the name the majority of the world knows him by, Muhammad Ali.  He is without doubt the most recognizable name in the boxing history.

Muhammad Ali was a three time heavyweight champion of the world. Moreover he also won a gold medal in the light heavyweight division during the 1960 summer Olympic Games.

Mike Tyson

Though his career has been mostly surrounded by more controversy, Mike Tyson is still one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. Tyson’s career spanned over 20 years from 1985 to 2005, however he could have accumulated more time if it wasn’t for the prison sentence he got in early 1990’s.

In 1986 Mike Tyson knocked out Trevor Berbick to become the youngest heavyweight champion in the entire history of professional boxing. Even today man still admit that his ability to overpower his opponent was like none they have ever seen in the sport. Mike Tyson was loved by many french casinos gamblers because of the betting odds. Another Boxer who is considered the Greatest is Joe Louis

Joe Louis was nicknamed the Brown Bomber. His career lasted from 1934 to 1951 and he had a record of 68-3 with 5 of those fights won through knockouts. Many argue that he is the one who brought back boxing into the mainstream after the Jack Dempsey era.
