A 22-year-old was left shaken after he was kneed in the back, dragged into a car and repeatedly punched as his attackers robbed him of his £2,000 Omega watch and bank card. The victim who was left with minor injuries was driven around for about 15 minutes whilst the brutal assault was carried out in Birmingham city centre on June 28.
Police have now released CCTV images of two Asian men who carried out the vicious robbery and bundled the man into a silver Mercedes A-Class as he walked through Pershore Street open air car park, at around 6.15am. During the terrifying ordeal, a third offender got into the car and also assaulted him. The 22-year-old had his watch stolen along with his Hermes belt, iPhone and bank card.
He was then dumped in Bolton Road, Small Heath. The offenders were Asian men aged around 25 and all wore "door staff" security arm bands on the upper arms.
DC Emily Sparkes from Birmingham West and Central CID said: "This was a sustained assault on a man inside a vehicle which made him extremely fearful and caused him to suffer minor injuries. We are appealing for anyone who recognises two of the offenders caught on CCTV to contact us." Anyone with information should contact DC Sparkes on 101.
