Tennis ace Sania Mirza and her cricketer husband Shoaib Malik have become proud parents of a baby boy. Malik took to Twitter on Tuesday to announce the arrival of his son. “Excited to announce: Its a boy, and my girl is doing great and keeping strong as usual #Alhumdulilah. Thank you for the wishes and Duas, we are humbled #BabyMirzaMalik,” the Pakistan cricketer wrote on Twitter.
Soon after the announcement, BabyMirzaMalik is trending on the micro-blogging site with wishes pouring in for the family. Earlier, Mirza had made news after she announced that she would keep her child’s surname as ‘Mirza Malik’, expressing her wish to take her family’s name forward. “Today I will tell you a secret. My husband and I have spoken about it and we have decided that whenever we have a child, the child will have Mirza Malik as a surname and not just Malik,” she had said.
