INDIA has switched the venues for two one-day internationals against England early next year and also changed match timings due to the expected cold weather.

The fourth match of the five-match series will now be played in Mohali on January 23 and the fifth in Dharamshala on January 27, the Indian cricket board said in a statement.

Earlier, Dharamshala was due to host the fourth game and Mohali the fifth.

The Mohali match will start at 12 noon, instead of 2:30 pm, and the one in Dharamshala will be a day game starting at 9:00 am, the statement said.

“These revisions have been made taking into account the cold evening temperatures that will prevail in Mohali and Dharamshala in late January,” it said.

The rest of the schedule remains the same.

The first leg of England tour’s from October 29 to December 22 comprises three practice matches, four Tests and two Twenty20 internationals.

The tourists will go home for Christmas and return on January 3 for the one-day series that starts on January 11.

England’s revised one-day schedule:

January 3: Arrival in Delhi

January 6: Tour match, Delhi

January 8: Tour match, Delhi

January 11: First ODI, Rajkot

January 15: Second ODI, Kochi

January 19: Third ODI, Ranchi

January 23: Fourth ODI, Mohali

January 27: Fifth ODI, Dharamshala
