Well-known Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is set to perform at the 2023 Coachella this April. The “Pasoori” fame Pakistani singer Ali Sethi is also a part of the line-up.
The line-up for this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival was unveiled on Wednesday, 11 January.
The caption on the post read, “Ugh was stuck in drafts. Register now for access to passes at coachella.com. Presale begins Friday, 1/13 at 11 am PT. Very limited Weekend 1 passes remain. Dosanjh and Sethi are set to perform alongside Bad Bunny, Frank Ocean, and the popular K-pop band BLACKPINK. The event is scheduled to take place over two consecutive weekends, from 14 to 16 April and 21 to 23 April.
Both Dosanjh and Sethi took to social media to share the exciting news with their fans and urged them to come to their respective shows. While the Punjabi singer shared the festival’s official line-up on his Instagram story and tagged it with a smiling emoji, Sethi shared it on his Instagram feed and wrote, “AAJAAO SAARAY (come everyone) @coachella presale starts Friday, January 13th at 11AM PT. Register now at coachella.com.”
For those not in the know, Coachella, which will be held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, in the Coachella Valley in the Colorado desert, is one of the biggest music festivals in the world.
Soon after the official line-up was released, several fans of Dosanjh and Sethi expressed their excitement on social media.
“This is HUGE. Diljit Dosanjh in the line-up of Coachella. Much deserved,” a tweet read.
Another tweet also highlighted RRR’s win at Golden Globes 2023. It read, “Massive day for the Indian music scene. RRR wins the Golden Globes 2023 for best original sound and Diljit Dosanjh in the line-up of Coachella.”
