A £50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murders of Kieran McGrath and Charlie Singh has been offered by police.

Detectives have also released an artist's impression of the man suspected of killing Charlie.

At around 10.25pm on Saturday October, 4, 2014, 26-year-old Kieran was found collapsed outside Ashton police station on Manchester Road after suffering a serious injury.

He made his way to the police station after being shot. Police officers and paramedics who had been called to the station tried to resuscitate him but sadly he was pronounced dead at the scene within minutes.

Kieran had been inside the Sheldon Arms pub with friends from around 8.50pm.

At 9.55pm, two men on a Suzuki Bandit 600cc motorbike drove onto the car park of the pub and waited for five minutes. One of them walked to the back of the pub before both drove to the front at 10pm.

At around 10:20pm, Kieran walked out of the main entrance and onto the car park before walking to a white Audi A3.

When he reached the car, four shots were fired in his direction with one hitting him.

Following the shooting, the bike was seen on Charlestown Road, Blackley at 10.26pm before it was found burnt out on Boggart Hole Clough on Tuesday 7 October 2014 near to the entrance of Pinfold Avenue.

Post mortem results show Kieran died from a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Two men, aged 30 and 22, were arrested on suspicion of murder and have been bailed pending police enquiries until 18 March and 17 March respectively.

At 6.09pm on Friday 31 October 2014, police were called to Manchester Food Traders off Wood Street, Openshaw, following reports a man had been shot.

Pragaret Singh – known to family and friends as Charlie – from Swinton, was taken to hospital but sadly died as a result of his injuries just after 7.30pm.

Detectives believe Charlie's killers arrived in a light-coloured Seat Leon and after confronting and shooting Charlie they got back in the car and drove off onto Park House Street towards Alan Turin Way.

A 30-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder and a 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rob and conspiracy to murder have been bailed until 24 March and 4 February respectively pending further police enquiries.

Following forensic tests on the weapon, officers discovered it had been used in both shootings, a self-loading pistol, although there are no further links to the killings.

Now police are offering a £25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the each murder. An artist's impression of Charlie Singh's killer has also been issued.

Detective Chief Inspector Richard Eales, senior investigating officer for Charlie's murder said: "We are determined more than ever to find out who was responsible for Mr Singh's murder and we hope the release of the artist's impression will help. Do you recognise this man? Did you see him in or around the Wood Street area before or after the shooting? If you did, we are keen to hear from you.

"I understand people may be afraid but we believe someone out there knows who is responsible for both murders. We are offering £25,000 for each case. This is a considerable amount of money and can be life changing for many people. I would ask people to search their conscience and think how they would feel if they were in the position of Charlie's and Kieran's loved ones. They would want justice and this is something we are eager to bring for both families."

Detective Chief Inspector Terry Crompton, senior investigating officer for Kieran's murder said: "It is nearly four months since Kieran was cruelly shot and although we have made arrests, we are still appealing for those with information to come forward.

"The motorbike used as the getaway vehicle was stolen from the Stockport area in June 2013 and may have swapped hands a number of times. The bike may have also been seen driving around the Greater Manchester area, especially between 9pm and 10.30pm on the night of the shooting. Again, if you have any information, please call us."

Anyone with information should phone police on 0161 856 6340 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111
