INDIAN tennis ace Sania Mirza has a chance of Wimbledon glory as she and Russian partner Elena Vesnina have made it through to the semi-finals of the womens' doubles tournament.
The number four seeds aren't likely to play today (30) and won't know their opponents until later.
They tasted victory against Spaniards – Nuria Llagostera Vives and Arantxa Parra Santonja, winning 6-3, 4-6, 7-5.
On court 2 today (30) will be Rohan Bopanna and Mirza in the mixed doubles third round. The number six seeds taken on Martin Damm and Renata Voracova of the Czech Republic.
Also in action is Leander Paes and Cara Black, seeded 14. They take on the number three seeds Nemad Zimonjic and Katarina Srebotnik also on court 2 later today.
Mahesh Bhupathi and mixed doubles partner Vesnina are already through to the quarter-finals. They beat the US-Bulgarian partnership of Eric Butorac and Olga Govorstova 6-2, 7-6 (tiebreak).
American born Indian origin Rajeev Ram of the US will also be in 3rd round mixed doubles action with Alexandra Dulgheru of Romania.
And for Indian nostalgists, Vijay Amitraj will be in the senior gentlemen's doubles today.
