THE high-octane Sunburn and Supersonic electronic dance music (EDM) festivals concluded on Wednesday (December 30) amid a high turnout of revellers and assembly of the world's top DJs.

'Sunburn', a property of Percept, was held at Vagatore, Viacom's 'Supersonic' on Candolim beach.

The organisers of 'Sunburn' claimed that music enthusiasts from over 50 countries were enthralled by EDM powerhouses like World Number 1 DJ duo, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Martin Garrix David Guetta, and Dutch Tropical house producer, Kygo.

"The ninth year of one of the world's biggest festivals in association with Goa Tourism, left a cherished memory in the dance and music fraternity offering festival-goers an unparallelled immersive experience, coupled with the very best in music across a whole spectrum of electronic genres," Shailendra Singh, Joint Managing Director of Percept, said.

An eclectic assortment of India's homegrown artists like Nucleya, Shaan, Anish Sood, Priyanjana, Ash Roy, Calm Chor, Joshi and Func provided their own bits of magic while Dyro, Bassjackers, Julian Jordan, Seth Troxler, Sam Feldt, Juliet Sikora, Headhunterz, Progressive Brothers and Echofloat weaved a web of mayhem as they unleashed their electrifying sets, he said.

"The ninth year of Sunburn Goa was memorable, musical and magical. The artist village reverberated by all sorts of bass-lines buoyed by the incessant energy of a crowd that was nothing but love, excitement and positivity.

"The animated flea markets, multiple adventure sports and lip smacking gastronomical delights added to the mega celebrations that dive into the anniversary year of the brand," Singh added.

At Candolim beach, the audience witnessed electrifying performance by DJ Axwell, who was headliner of the last day for 'Supersonic' fest.

"The Swedish superstar of dance music, once part of the massively popular 'Swedish House Mafia', is definitely one of the most awaited acts for the entire season this year," the organisers stated in a release.
