A SENIOR academic from the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies (OCHS) will take part in this year’s London Marathon on April 26, making him the first Oxford Professor to do so.

By taking part in the race, academic director Professor Gavin Flood will raise funds and awareness for the centre.

He said, ‘We intend to develop OCHS as a source of intelligent commentary; it can be a resource for scholars from Hindu communities to critically examine and engage with their own tradition.’
