SPIRITUAL leader Sant Morari Bapu will address an audience of over 4,000 in London next month at an event to raise awareness about a leading charitable school meal programme.

Under a scheme run by the Akshaya Patra Foundation, almost 1.3 million children are fed daily in 8,200 state schools across India.

Organisers hope that providing a meal at school not only helps alleviate hunger among children but also encourages them to attend classes regularly.

Among those on the board of trustees are wellbeing expert and author Dr Deepak Chopra, founder-CEO of Infosys Narayan Murthy and Lord Dolar Popat in the UK.

Sant Morari Bapu is known for his kathas in Gujarati and Hindi, usually lasting nine days.

The sermon on July 11 will be in Hindi. The programme starts at 7 pm and is expected to finish by 9 pm. It is a free event with seating on a first-come, first-served basis
