BRILLIANT sunshine greeted a record 90,000 visitors who descended on Gunnersbury Park in Ealing to enjoy the 02 London Mela on Sunday (August 8).

As well as a sizzling line-up of top music acts, including Imran Khan, H Dhami, Mumzy Stranger and Preeya Kalidas, the crowds revelled in a wide variety of attractions and other entertainment.

Among those was a classical stage, BBC Introducing, which showcased up and coming performers and featured stints from stars Jaya and Punjabi MC, a thumping Asian network club tent and a community stage.

As usual, the food vendors did a brisk trade and there were long queues for ice creams and Kulfi.
