A LETTER threatening to blow up the Gujarat High Court building situated on the S G Highway in Sola area in Ahmedabad turned out to be a hoax after a thorough search of the premises by the police.

High Court registrar received the letter by Post on Monday, (November 16) morning, said inspector D V Rana of Sola police station.

"The Letter, written in Gujarati and sent by an anonymous person, claimed that he had placed a bomb in the High Court premises.

"Later on, Police along with Bomb Disposal Squad and a Dog Squad carried out an intensive search," he said, adding that nothing suspicious was found.

Police were trying to identify the sender, he said.
