A PREVIEW of an encyclopedia on Hinduism was held in the presence of leading Indian spiritual leaders in New Jersey last week.
His Holiness Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji (HH Pujya Muniji) 700-page tome is the collaborate effort of the head of the Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh as well as leading Hindu scholars. It encompasses the depth and breadth of Hindu history, civilisation, culture, art/architecture and spirituality.
Some 4,000 people attended the preview in Edison, New Jersey, where Pujya Morari Bapuji recited the katha. HH Pujya Muniji was also joined by Pujya Goswami Indira Betiji.
In an interesting coincidence, the katha and the the preview were held in the same hall (Expo Hall) of the same centre (Raritan Center) where the first yagna for the Hinduism encyclopedia was performed in 1993.
On the day of the preview, the gathering also celebrated Gujarat’s Swaran Jayanti (golden anniversary of the founding of the state).
