A Gujarati youth, 20 from borough has been accused of fatally shooting his father, Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Sayreville Polce Chief John Zebrowski said in a statement.
Vishal Shah was charged on the evening of June 12 with murder in the death of his father, Pradipkum Shah, 53, who was shot in his home on June 10. He was pronounced dead at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick on June 11 according to authorities.
In addition to murder, Shah was charged with hindering his apprehension by hiding the gun that was used in the shooting and was charged with unlawful possession of the weapon. The gun has been recovered.
