General fashion will not work much: Masaba Gupta

Ficci Flo Ahmedabad has organized an event based on MODERN TRADITIONS IN FASHION AND BEAUTY with the renowned personality Masaba Gupta. The event was curated by YFLO chairperson Swati Garodia and FLO chairperson Babita jain.
She is the leading fashion designer and she has been in town for the interaction with the FLO AND YFLO members about her designs which can marry traditional Indian sensibilities and aesthetics while keeping the modern context alive. Talking about her childhood Masaba gupta told that she was brought up by her mother.
Mother Neena Gupta was the inspiration behind taking fashion designing as the career option. Further talking about the design Masaba shared the incident where she designed her first designer saree was sold for 10 thousand which was purchased by her mother’s best friend. There was hard time during the childhood when my mother shifted to Mumbai.
That time in Mumbai not a single person was giving the house a rent to the single mother. But my mother was the fighter.  Talking about fashion Masaba gupta told that, “General fashion will not work much.  Female and male outfits should be designed differently as they have unique cuts and drapes according to the body shape. Masaba fashion store will open in Ahmedabad soon”, she added.
