Ramsay El-Nakla, the brother-in-law of Scotland’s first minister Humza Yousaf, has been charged with abduction and extortion following the death of a man who fell from a flat’s window.

Ryan Munro suffered severe injuries after the fall on Morgan Street in Dundee on January 10, as reported by BBC. He passed away a week later.

Ramsay El-Nakla, aged 36, who is the brother of Yousaf’s wife, Nadia El-Nakla, is set to appear in court as the fourth individual implicated in connection to the incident, according to The Telegraph.

Previously, three others were arrested and charged in relation to the same case. Jennifer Souter was presented at Dundee Sheriff Court last week, accused of culpable homicide. Meanwhile, Stephen Stewart, aged 50, and Victoria McGowan, aged 41, faced charges of abduction and extortion, as reported by the BBC.

Souter allegedly assaulted and abducted Munro from the flat on Morgan Street on January 10. The accusation suggests that she induced fear in Munro’s safety and compelled him to fall from a second-floor window after detaining him against his will, aiming to extort money, as reported by The Telegraph.

Munro sustained severe head injuries from the fall of approximately 30ft onto the street below, where he landed on a parked vehicle outside the flat.

In a statement, Police Scotland announced, “A 36-year-old man has been arrested and charged with abduction and extortion following an incident where a man fell from a block of flats on Morgan Street, Dundee, on Wednesday, January 10. He died a week later in hospital.”

“The three others were previously arrested and charged following the same incident,” the police added.
