Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who have been dating for four years now, are set to tie the knot today (14) in Mumbai.
Ahead of their intimate wedding, several Bollywood celebrities extended their good wishes to the soon-to-be-married couple.
Filmmaker Karan Johar, who launched Alia in Student of the Year (2012) and directed Ranbir in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), took to Twitter and wished the couple.
“Love is light and I know the amount of light you have brought into each other’s and our lives with your love. To new beginnings and more,” Karan Johar wrote.
Yesterday, Ayan Mukerji and Karan Johar shared the first glimpse of the song “Kesariya” from their upcoming film Brahmastra, headlined by Ranbir and Alia. Sharing the first glimpse of Kesariya, megastar Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Wishing our Isha and Shiva all the Love, Luck and Light as they gear up to embark on a very special journey in the coming days. Let’s kickstart the celebration with something special from Team Brahmastra.” Big B also plays an important role in the much-anticipated adventure drama, set to hit screens on September 9, 2022.
Sanjay Dutt shared that he is really happy as Ranbir is getting married. “If Ranbir Kapoor is getting married, I am really happy for him. Alia was literally born and brought up in front of me. Marriage is a commitment they are making to each other. And they have to stick by that, hold each other’s hands and move ahead in happiness, peace, and glory. Make kids soon Ranbir, and stay happy!” the actor said.
Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, who directed Alia Bhatt in Highway and Ranbir Kapoor in Rockstar (2011) and Tamasha (2015), said, “Amongst the actors that I have worked with, there is no one more similar than Ranbir and Alia. To be alike as actors, you have to be alike as people as well. You need to be aligned in thought, and that’s the case with these two. Even before Ranbir and Alia got friendly with each other, there was a kind of affinity I saw in both of them because they were so alike. I have had the privilege of working with Alia in Highway and Ranbir in Rockstar and Tamasha, and I can say that there are no actors like these two. The fact that Ranbir and Alia are together, gives me immense happiness and pleasure. I am not going to say more (smiles), but I am extremely happy that people like that are grouping together. They are the purest form of actors that I have seen in my life.”
Yesterday, Ranbir’s cousins Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Aadar Jain, Armaan Jain and filmmakers Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji, Alia’s sister Pooja Bhatt, and several others attended Ranbir and Alia’s mehndi ceremony at the actor’s Bandra home, Vastu, in Mumbai.
