High Commission of India in London celebrated the 70th Independence Day of India by hoisting of the Indian national flag followed by rendering of national anthem. This was followed by the High Commissioner reading out the message of India's president Pranab Mukherjee to the nation.

The High Commissioner made brief remarks to the assembled gathering of about 180 people in the Mission. Officials of the Mission and their families, and representatives of Indian PSUs and banks in London and some Indian community members were present.
