Kudankulam chase
Police chase demonstrators during a protest near the Kudankulam nuclear plant in Tamil Nadu on September 10. Riot police wielding clubs fired tear gas and charged at thousands of protestors on the beach on Monday near India\\\'s largest nuclear power project, due to fire up later this year after months of opposition. Some 4,000 activists had camped on the shore about a mile away from the power station to voice fears of a radiation risk from the plant, located by the sea near the southern tip of India.
