Sellafield Nuclear Reprocessing Plant

FIVE men were released yesterday without charge after being arrested near a Nuclear site under the Terrorism Act. The men all of Bangladeshi origin and in their 20s from London appeared to have been taking pictures on Monday (2) near the Sellafield Nuclear Reprocessing Plant and were spotted by Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) officers who were conducting a stop check on a vehicle close to the Sellafield site in West Cumbria. The investigation was led by the North West Counter Terrorism Unit, supported by the CNC and Cumbria Constabulary. A decision was made to release the five men without charge after a through investigation by officers
